Hotel chains were main features at FITUR 2018, thanks to the number of presentations, the multiple work meetings held and the projects that were presented. One of the main groups was Iberostar, and it chose the backdrop of the fair to present its latest business figures.

The company closed 2017 with a turnover of €2,428 million, which is a 20% increase over the previous year, and it will continue this year with its already committed investments until 2022 in Europe and America, amounting to €700 million.

The Mallorca-based company has also announced that in 2018 it will begin a key stage in renewing its offering. This year it expects to add 15 new establishments in Spain, with a new hotel in Barcelona; Montenegro, Mexico in Cancun and Cuba in Havana, Holguin, Cayo Coco and Santiago de Cuba
