The International Tourism Fair,FITUR 2018, organised by IFEMA and held from the 21st of January at Feria de Madrid, has again noted the main participants of this edition, through its Competition for Best Stands. The Jury panel announced today the names of the awardees in the various categories.

In the Institutions and Autonomous Communities category the winning stands were: Aragón (7B10); Valencian Community (7B05), and Turismo de Galicia (9C07).

In the Countries category, the awards went to the Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador (3C04D); Turkey, Ministry of Culture and Tourism (4C05), and Latvia Tourism Board (4E16A). There was also a special mention for the SECTUR Guerrero stand (3A04).

Lastly, in the companies’ category the best stands at FITUR were Paradores (10D03); the Spanish Association of Hoteliers of Madrid, AEHM(10D24), and Segittur KNOW HOW & EXPORT (10B07). In this case, the H10 Hotels stand (10C10) also received special mention.

As usual, the established evaluation criteria were Professionalism, i.e. the suitability of the stand to the marketing requirements of each product; Communication/Promotion, identification of the stand with the image and product, and Design, where the degree of originality and innovation was especially important.
