• The winner of the Tribuna FITUR Jorge Vila Fradera Award will be published and distributed among the academic community and the business sector, as well as marketed worldwide.

The International Tourism Fair, FITUR, (IFEMA), in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Tourism Experts, AECIT, announced the Tribuna FITUR Jorge Vila Fradera Award, which recognises the best tourism-related academic research paper.

On this 19th edition the award went to the paper “MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF SUSTAINABILITY: SYNTHETIC INDICATORS THROUGH MULTI-CRITERIA METHODS AND THEIR RELATION TO TOURISM ON THE ANDALUSIAN COAST” by Dr. Daniela Fernanda Thiel Ellul and Dr. Enrique Navarro Jurado.

The decision was made yesterday and recognised with this award the hard work and dedication of the experts, studying and researching to achieve a tourism industry of excellence. The criteria taken into account were: the degree of innovation, methodology, work structure and references used.

The winner was chosen by a panel of experts, comprised of a Technical-Scientific Selection Committee from among the members of the AECIT, as well as the sponsor of this Tribuna and FITUR representatives.

The work chosen will be co-published by FITUR and marketed, distributed and sold by Editorial Síntesis within Spain, the European Union and Latin American countries, as well as the rest of the world.
